I saw the book for the Arrival before and I remember being really awestruck by the story and of course the images. It was definitely not what I expected when I started reading the images. It's a really sweet story with some moments that are really touching and even a bit saddening.
Even though there is no text it is very easy to read the images and understand what is going on. I think this way you pay more attention to the details of the illustration so that you can catch every part of the story and make out whats going on. It's very captivating and and I think some readers could relate to the character, since he is an immigrant that has to leave his family behind in order to work hard at creating a better life and eventually bring his family over as well.
I could definitely relate to it a bit since my dad left Colombia to come to the U.S first and a few years later he was able to have my mom and I join him as well.
